As I revise plans for Malachi’s studies before he graduates in 18 months months, I ‘touch base’ with our vision and focus for him: what virtues, skills and knowledge do we want him to graduate with?

Malachi is an intelligent young man with an incredible retentive memory. Applying himself to his studies will be the major focus.



Spiritual – Read two saint’s bio’s or spiritual works per term, personal choice, from Home Library.
‘Extras’ – Suggest Peter Kreeft if time

Weekly narrations on each of Malachi’s Readings of ‘Inspirational’ subjects. These are: Faith, science, history, geography, economics and civics.

English for Australian Schools – Ronald Ridout
*Daily grammar and composition session with Mum, will also cover essay writing using selections from our home library.

One major essay to be assigned on each of the following per term: Faith, literature, history and science. Futher composition will be required for OYAN
Creative Writing
Spent at least one session per week on OYAN

Write 1 paper on novel of choice, see Composition.

Literary Analysis
To discuss one of Malachi’s novels per week using Adam Andrews’ questions

Malachi has already read many Shakespeare plays.
